Greek teachers lead by example with 73% already vaccinated

Greek teachers are leading by example in the fight against the coronavirus with 3 in 4 already vaccinated said Education Minister Niki Kerameus on Wednesday in an interview to Alpha TV.

Kerameus also confirmed that schools and universities will open normally in the fall, although she acknowledged that Greece needs more people to get inoculated.

"As of September, we will operate all educational facilities normally," she said, "with universities, schools, professional schools, and such, open. We do have vaccines in our arsenal, but we we are still far from reaching herd immunity."
