Greek and Australian Prime Ministers compare notes on pandemic

Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison said he had telephone conversation with Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis last night and discussed current challenges facing both countries with particular emphasis on the pandemic.

Morrison confirmed his chat with the Greek PM during a press briefing today in the Australian capital, Canberra.

The Australian PM mentioned that both he and Mitsotakis compared notes on responding to the COVID-19 challenges, particularly the Delta strain and their respective vaccination programs.

Their discussion further expanded into bilateral matters such as expanding trade opportunities through the EU-Australia FTA currently being negotiated, climate change, and cooperation on multilateral organisations.

Prime Minister Scott Morrison invited Prime Minister Mitsotakis to visit Australia.
