“It is obvious that we are heading to a difficult winter because, unfortunately, a small but not insignificant minority of the citizens has decided to blow up the heath system of the country,” stated Development and Investment Minister Adonis Georgiadis to SKAI radio on Monday.

He underlined that “the economy withstands and the government has the economy issue under control”. Ahead of the measures to be announced on Tuesday by Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, he said that the government does not intend to impose a lockdown, at least for the vaccinated people”.

Georgiadis also clarified that entrance to closed and indoors entertainment venues or restaurants in the winter for the unvaccinated is out of the question stating that “they will not be able to go anywhere” and explained that it is not a punishment but a matter of risk management.
