Strong Earthquake shakes up Corinth, is felt in Athens

A 4.3 magnitude on the Richter scale earthquake has struck Corinth today (31/8) moments after midnight according to the Geodynamic Institute in the region.

The earthquake which was also felt in Athens, occurred at 00.06 and  occurred 16 kilometers southeast of Corinth. The focal depth is estimated at 10 km.

The earthquake was felt in Attica in both the northern and southern suburbs, with a long duration. In fact, a few minutes later at 00.13 there was an earthquake of 2.2 Richter at the same point.
