Colombian Consulate in Athens raided by robbers, perpetrators flee in panic

There was a break-in at the Colombian Consulate in Athens on Monday night.

Shortly after 19:30, the perpetrators entered a ground floor apartment and violated the main entrance of the consulate on the 1st floor.

According to Sputnik Hellas, they then entered the consulate and started looking for valuables.

The alarm, however, was activated and ruined their plans.

In a panic, they fled without grabbing anything.

The perpetrators were reportedly unaware that they had stormed the Colombian consulate.

The Consul told authorities that it was an accident and that they were not the target.

Finally, a security camera has captured the break-in and is being examined.
