The rescue of a dolphin by Greek border guard was recorded in a moving video uploaded to the Facebook account by of Minister of Citizen Protection, Takis Theodorikakos.

The Feron Border Guard department spotted a dolphin in shallow waters in the Evros Delta yesterday. The dolphin had become disoriented and had accidentally entered the river from the sea.

As can be seen in the video, a police officer, with the help of a paddle, guided the dolphin towards the sea, helping it to swim away from the shallow waters.

With the coordinated efforts of the police, the operation was successful and the dolphin returned to the waters of the Thracian sea.
