Another magnitude 5.5 earthquake hit Marash in central Turkey

Marash is already one of the regions hardest affected by the deadly quake of Feb. 2.

Meanwhile, authorities said the death toll has now exceeded 40,000 in Turkey alone.

According to the Turkish Nature Disaster Management Center, around 5,700 aftershocks have occurred since the initial quake.

Euro-Mediterranean Seismological Center confirms that a 5.5-magnitude earthquake struck central Turkey.
