Nusret Gökçe, the Turkish chef specialising in meat, managed to become world famous a few years ago thanks to the strange way he sprinkled salt on his food and gained the nickname Salt Bae, however, it seems that he has a competitor in Greece, who goes by the name of Stefanos Saratsis.
For those who don’t know, this is the owner of the “Sta Kala Kathoumena” restaurant in Polichni, Thessaloniki, which recently opened in Athens as well.
Apart from his business capacity, however, Stefanos Saratsis is a master of meat and his cuts, with many considering him – and not unjustly – as the “Greek Salt Bae”.
A simple walk through his personal TikTok account is enough to understand that he has a lot in common with Nusret. Not only for his always neat clothing, but also the way in which he cuts and serves the meat to his guests.

It seems that Saratsi’s restaurant is often honoured with the presence of several Greek celebrities, who want to see him up close cutting the meat in an elaborate way and to taste it.

However, he also seems to enjoy it by constantly taking photos and videos of the meats he has in his shop, but also from the “performances” he gives cutting it in front of customers.
