The US Ambassador to Athens stressed that relations between the two countries “are stronger than ever.”
“U.S.-Greece relations are stronger than ever. I’m tremendously proud of our countries outstanding cooperation as we advance our shared goals for peace and prosperity,” Ambassador George Tsunis wrote in a tweet, which was accompanied with a photo of him and Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis.

Meanwhile, Tourism Minister Vassilis Kikilias tweeted on Thursday that he signed with Tsunis “a joint action plan in the field of Tourism, strengthening relations.”
