The faithful in Melbourne were undaunted by the incessant rain that fell throughout Easter Sunday. Thousands of Greeks from the diaspora gathered in the churches to receive the Holy Light.
In the church of Saints Anargyro in Oakleigh, expatriates holding umbrellas sang "Christ is Risen", although due to the rain in most churches the Resurrection took place inside the churches.
