The Sydney Institute for Community Languages Education (SICLE) of the University of Sydney, Australia, has announced the 2023 SICLE Greek Language Competition Greek and Me!
The competition is open to all students inNSW from Kindergarten to Year 10 who study Greek, and it offers prizes for the best entries in every category. The competition is organised by SICLE and runs under the auspices of The Secretariat General for Greeks Aboard and Public Diplomacy, as well as The Consulate General of Greece in Sydney.

It is aspired that this competition will enhance students’ learning of the Greek language and culture, foster their self-motivation, creativity, and teamwork, as well as bring teachers of Greek from all sectors together in order to strengthen the study of Greek in NSW.
Prizes for first, second and third place, along with highly commended awards, will be given for each category entries. All students, teachers and schools participating in this competition will receive a certificate of participation.
Winning entries will be announced in Term 4. The award ceremony will take place in early November 2023 (date to TBC) at The University of Sydney.
