Rainbow over the Acropolis after Monday's storm - See the photos

Heavy rain and local storms occurred in Attica afternoon on Monday, and in fact, the camera captured impressive images of a rainbow over the Acropolis.

It is noted that strong storms occurred during Monday mainly in the continental parts, with large amounts of rain and intense electrical activity.

According to the ZEUS lightning detection system of the National Observatory of Athens / Meteo.gr, 2,400 lightning strikes were recorded.

At the same time, large amounts of rain were recorded in the continental areas with the highest amount of rain being recorded in Geraki in Laconia with 51 mm.
