Meanwhile, Robbie Williams has opened up about his sex life with his wife - admitting they prefer to cuddle in bed. The former Take That star, who grew up in Burslem and Tunstall, claims he hardly ever 'does the deed' with Ayda Field.

In a recent interview, Port Vale fan Robbie explained that they rarely feel the need to undress each other and often prefer to simply snuggle up under the sheets or on the sofa instead.

Robbie, who married Ayda in 2010 but was famously a womaniser in his younger days, has blamed his drop in libido on ceasing testosterone medication he used to take for depression, reports LeicestershireLive.

Speaking to The Sun, Robbie quipped: "Everyone knows there’s no sex after marriage." To which his American actress wife Ayda added: "Intimacy is the important, meaningful side of love. We’re happy.”

Robbie then boldly confessed: "No sex in a marriage is only a problem if you’re on different pages. If one person wants it, and the other doesn’t or if you have different expectations or requirements.

"But really, everyone knows there is no sex after marriage. That’s just the way it is." He then explained that the couple share more of an interest in cuddling up on the sofa and watching something on Netflix.

"I was on testosterone for a while but, because I’m an addict, that had to stop." He revealed. "I got these massive square shoulders and started to look like a doorman. It wasn’t a good look."

While he was taking testosterone, the musician, who shares four children with Ayda, said: "The sex we had when I was on testosterone was incredible - it was all the time. We were insatiable. It goes to show how into each other we really are, though, because when I was on it, we couldn’t take our hands off each other."

Although the singer admitted to missing those times, he often has little interest in hopping into bed with his wife these days, but knows that his love for her is stronger than ever, knowing that they don't need to have sex to be insanely in love with one another.

Ayda went on to clarify that although her and Robbie aren't as intimate in the bedroom anymore, this doesn't mean they aren't in other ways. She said: "[We are always] cuddling and kissing, holding hands, and touching each other when we are just watching TV on the sofa".
