The rare McLaren Senna is now in Greece!

McLaren Senna

One of the very few McLaren Senna is located in Greece. One of the 500 models, named after F1 legend Ayrton Senna, has a Greek owner. News Auto spotted it at Eleftherios Venizelos Airport.

The images, which despite the protections for air transport, show the silhouette of the McLaren Senna, prove that there are people in our country who love a good car and do not stand on the surface of the projection, which a supercar can offer them — a real supercar of great value.

Each McLaren Senna took 1,000 hours to create, and only 500 were produced, all of which have been sold with a portion of the cars' price going to the Senna Foundation in Brazil.

Its price in Britain was set at 855,000 euros. In fact, the last of its production was recently auctioned, raising the amount of 2,200,000 euros.

The McLaren Senna applies a series of additional elements that guarantee absolute grip on the track, such as the active wings on the intakes, the perimeter spoilers, but also the massive rear spoiler also with the active wing.

Underneath the body, the flagship of the McLaren has a carbon frame, which is an advanced version of the 720S platform, which helps it keep its weight very low, at 1,198 kg.

The suspension is an advanced version of that of the McLaren Senna P1, with independent double wishbones, hydraulic shock absorbers and anti-roll bars.

There are four different driving modes (Comfort, Sport, Track and for the first time the new Race), which reduces the distance from the ground, significantly stiffens the suspension and is suitable for racing performance on the track.

A special mention must also be made of the brakes, which according to the English company are the most sophisticated they have ever equipped their car, using carbon ceramic discs with racing technology.

The tires have also been developed specifically for the Senna and are the Pirelli P Zero Trofeo R for track use, but also road approved.

In the engine, the familiar 4-liter V8 biturbo of the McLaren 720s has increased its power output to 789 hp and torque to 800 Nm. It is combined with a 7-speed automatic double clutch transmission, which sends all the above power and torque to the rear wheels of the car.

Finishing with the cabin, there is a rather minimalistic design by the standards of racing constructions. The materials used are exclusively carbon fiber.

We distinguish the small opening of the side windows with a fixed large part of them, the carbon thin seats that will be of a unique design for each of the 500 Senna that will be built, and also the thin screen in front of the driver instead of an instrument panel.

On the other hand, for the tech lovers, McLaren has placed a high-definition screen in the center of the console that houses all the features of the multimedia system.

According to information from News Auto, the hypercar is already resting in the large parking lot of the Lentoudis shipping family...
