Thessaloniki: 16-year-old was arrested for selling child pornography

A 16-year-old high school student was arrested by police in Thessaloniki, accused of selling child pornography.

According to Proto Thema, the 16-year-old was arrested following an investigation by the Electronic Crime Prosecution, from which it emerged that he was in possession and was trading indecent photographs of minors for a fee.

He allegedly sold each photo for five euros while uploading them to a specific website.

The accused was taken to the public prosecutor. Criminal prosecution was brought against him, in the degree of a felony, for disclosure to third parties and posting in public view on the internet or in social media of material related to a sexual life with material benefit by following and possession, and offer, distribution and sale of material of child pornography through IT systems professionally committed.

The minor was referred to testify to an investigator from where he requested and received a deadline for the next few days.

The investigation into the case of child pornography is in full progress by the Electronic Crime Prosecution.
