The meeting between Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on the sidelines of the NATO Summit in Lithuania lasted almost an hour, their first after a long time.
Indicative of the positive atmosphere that prevailed is the fact that the meeting lasted about twice as long as planned - initially, it was scheduled for half an hour.
The two leaders agreed on the framework for the continuation from now on, with Mitsotakis expected to explain the "roadmap" in his statements, although the Dendia-Güler meeting has already given the mark with the rerouting of the MOUs.
As can be seen in the video from the first minutes of the meeting, both the atmosphere between the two delegations and between Mitsotakis and Erdogan was good.

The dialogue that the leaders of Greece and Turkey had in front of the cameras was indicative.
Erdogan: We have a new government, prime minister, so we have a new team here.
Mitsotakis: Like us. But I understand that our ministers have already met and started a good relationship.
As reported by Proto Thema's Giorgios Evgenidis, who was present at the beginning of the Mitsotakis-Erdogan meeting, was the new head of the MIT, Ibrahim Kalin, who congratulated the Greek prime minister on his re-election, who reciprocated with his own congratulations.
Confidence-Building Measures Promoted
Before the Mitsotakis-Erdogan meeting, a meeting was held between the Minister of National Defence, Nikos Dendias, and his Turkish counterpart, Yaşar Güle, with whom it was agreed "the Greece-Turkey communication to arrange a meeting on measures activities Building Trust."

According to sources from the Ministry of Defence, the Dendias-Güler meeting took place in a good atmosphere with the two ministers agreeing to have communication between the two sides in order to hold a meeting on Confidence Building Measures.
Dendias and Güler also agreed that there should be the possibility of direct telephone communication between them, if necessary, while the possibility of making visits on both sides was also examined.
It is recalled that the MOUs were the subject of the telephone conversation between the defence ministers of Greece and Turkey on July 5.
