Ecumenical Patriarch sent a letter of sympathy to the tested by the wildfires people of Rhodes

According to the Holy Metropolis of Rhodes, Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew sent a letter of support and sympathy to Metropolitan Kyrillos of Rhodes in which he expresses his sympathy to the pious people of Rhodes, who are being tested by the devastating wildfires, and prays for them to overcome the present danger.

“We are sorry to watch from the Ecumenical Patriarchate the disaster caused by the wildfires at your Metropolis. We express our sympathy to your flock and we wish that the Lord will soothe the wounds and lead you towards a quiet and happy life,” the Ecumenical Patriarch said.

“Our prayers, thoughts and affection from all of us at the Phanar are with you day and night, brothers, sisters and children of God,” he concluded in his letter.

It is worth noting that Archbishop Ieronymos of Athens and All Greece, and dozens of Hierarchs from the various Orthodox churches contacted the Metropolitan of Rhodes to express their sympathy and support.
