Bvlgari in Paramythia: The Greek family's visit to where it all began! See the photos

Bvlgari

The (Bulgari) Bvlgari family were in their ancestral village of Paramythia in Epirus, Greece  on Sunday, where the world's most famous jewellery house took its first steps in 1870.

The emotion was great when Nicola Bulgari and the family's younger members saw where their ancestors were from. The family visited the under-renovation building donated by the Bvlgari family and the first workshop and goldsmith shop of Sotiris Voulgaris.

During their visit, they were informed by the Mayor of Souli, Yiannis Karagiannis, the president of the Regional Council, Stavroula Braimi, and the Deputy Mayor of Technical Services, Fanis Bellogia, about the conversion work into an Art, Education and Culture Center, where a large part of it will be dedicated to the great benefactors of city.

They also visited the church of Panagia and the monument of the 49 martyrs.

According to Paramythia Online, Nicola and his family said they were also excited by the work at the former Primary School and emphasised that they are willing to contribute to the completion of the project. The relevant negotiations with the technical services will follow the Municipality of Souli.

Nicola and all the family members were happily photographed with all the official and non-official attendees. The visit of the Bvlgari family ended with a meal at a tavern on the banks of the Acheron River, where a promise was made of a new visit in a very short time.
