Mitsotakis met with the president of Moldova - Greece will open an embassy in Chisinau

Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis met with the president of Moldova, Maia Sandu, earlier on Tuesday morning at Maximos Mansion in Athens.

During the meeting, the Prime Minister and the President of Moldova exchanged views on the prospect of strengthening bilateral relations.

Mitsotakis reiterated Greece's support for Moldova's European perspective, which was also expressed in the Declaration of Athens adopted on August 21 by the 11 leaders who participated in the informal dinner organised in the presence of the leadership of the European institutions.

The prime minister also informed Sandu about Greece's intention to open an embassy in Chisinau in the next period of time.

Afterwards, the Prime Minister met with the President of Montenegro, Jakov Milatovic, at the Maximos Palace. During the meeting the two leaders agreed to work to strengthen bilateral relations and to support the progress of Montenegro's EU integration.

In the meeting of Kyriakos Mitsotakis with the pseudo leader of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, the continued development of bilateral relations with an emphasis on economic cooperation was discussed.

The Prime Minister underlined the importance that Greece attaches to the Belgrade-Pristina Dialogue for the normalisation of Pristina's relations with Belgrade.
