Five Women Apprehended for Stealing Coins from Acropolis Museum Excavation Site in Athens

On Tuesday evening, at approximately 22.45, a group of five Greek women, including two minors, were caught by an Acropolis Museum security guard breaking into an excavation site along Dionysiou Areopagitou Street in Athens.

Reports from the media indicate that the women managed to steal an undisclosed amount of coins from different nations from the Ancient well which people throw their money to make a wish.

The Acropolis Security Department took immediate action, filing a theft case against the five individuals who were subsequently apprehended by the police. Among the suspects are two 17-year-olds.
