Vassilis Karras is going through a very serious adventure with his health. He is left in the hands of the doctors and his faith in God. He's following the treatments, he's in a good phase now, he's very strong, he knows what the situation is, he hasn't been lied to or pillaged .'
His appearance in May - "It was time to see me again"
The folk singer has been away from public appearances for a long time, however, he was "present" in May for the opening of a gallery in Thessaloniki and spoke about his current state of health and loss of 42 kg.
"Isn't it about time you saw me?" Doesn't it look like I'm fine guys? I am very well. The message I want to send to my fans is to have strength and faith in them," he said initially.
"We're going back to discography and life in general. We are preparing a concert for a good cause, we joined hands and it needs a lot of work and a lot of support from the local bodies. It will be a concert towards the end, a beautiful closing in my career. Sometimes artists die on the board" added Vassilis Karras.
Regarding the rumors that he wanted to be a candidate in the municipal elections, the well-known artist responded with humor: "I get an itch with them. Let's go now."
The health problem
Vassilis Karras underwent surgery at the beginning of November last year at the Inter-Balkan hospital in Thessaloniki, due to a serious health problem.
His illness and hospitalization in Venizelio
During that time, the singer had felt unwell during a performance at a well-known entertainment center in Heraklion, Crete, and it was deemed appropriate to be rushed to the Venizelio Hospital.
According to information from neakriti.gr, the singer was hospitalized in a stable condition at the Venizelio Pathological Clinic. Information had been reported at the time that the singer was dealing with chronic ailments.

In March, Vassilis Karras was photographed, one year after the adventure he went through with his health. Visibly emaciated, but smiling he posed for the camera next to another man. The journalist, Haris Lebidakis posted the snapshot on his Twitter account.
In it he wrote: "We missed Vassilis Karras!! He is fine, lost the weight he should have and is smiling again after the serious adventure with his health."
