Greece is acquiring a new strategic weapon for its defence, as revealed in an announcement by the Israeli Ministry of Defense on selling Spike anti-tank missiles.

According to the current agreement, the missiles will be manufactured by the Israeli state-owned company Rafael and will equip the Apache attack helicopters and the Gunners of the Greek army.

They will be placed on the borders of Evros and the islands of the Eastern Aegean, with a range of up to 35 km and the possibility of precision strikes.

The agreement also includes the acquisition of many missiles, making the Spike Nlos a key weapon system for the defence of the islands and Evros on the border with Turkey. Acquiring this new weapon reinforces Greece's deterrent power and shows the joint commitment of Greece and Israel as partners.

The agreement includes acquiring over 220 missiles and fully cover the needs of Greece, News Auto reported.

With a range of up to 35 km and the possibility of precision strikes from the coasts of the islands, the Spike Nlos that will be placed in the Eastern Aegean dramatically enhance the deterrent power of the Armed Forces.

The reinforcement at the country's land borders will be similar, while the Spike Nlos with which the Apache attack helicopters will be equipped will be a nightmare for every target on the ground as well as at sea.
