China Participates in 2nd Gastronomic Festival of Piraeus

As part of the 2nd Gastronomic Festival of the Municipality of Piraeus, a special Chinese festival was recently held in Piraeus, as reported by ANA.

This event was meticulously organized through collaborative efforts between the Municipality of Piraeus, the China Cultural Centre in Athens, the Piraeus Port Organisation, and the International Cultural Association of China, with coordination assistance from the Greek-Chinese newspaper, China Greece Times, and the support of the Chinese Embassy in Greece.

Distinguished guests included Wang Ying, the Diplomatic Counselor for Cultural Affairs of the Embassy of China in Greece; Ren Ren, the Director of the China Cultural Center in Athens; Yang Zhang, the Director General of the PPA Projects Department; Andriana Zarakeli, the Deputy Mayor of Piraeus; and the General Secretary of the Hellenic Wushu Federation.

The Chinese pavilion took centre stage, captivatingly capturing China's rich culture and tourism sector. Festival attendees enjoyed participating in various activities, such as Chinese cuisine tastings, tourism promotions, Chinese Wushu performances, folk music showcases, presentations on Autumn Festival culture, and documentary screenings at the Film Festival. This diverse presentation of Chinese culture provided a unique opportunity for visitors to immerse themselves in the many facets of China, fostering a deeper appreciation and understanding of this remarkable country and its rich cultural heritage among the Greek people.
