Foreign Minister George Gerapetritis announced on Friday that Greece will be providing humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip, which is currently facing a worsening crisis.

A Greek military transport aircraft, specifically a C-130, will be carrying essential supplies such as food, drinking water, and medicine. The aid package will be sent to the Hamas-ruled enclave, which is home to approximately 2.3 million individuals. Gerapetritis spoke in Parliament and highlighted the collaboration between Greece, Cyprus, and France.

He acknowledged that delivering aid to Gaza presents significant challenges due to the lack of a secure port in the region. However, the governments involved are committed to addressing this issue and providing much-needed assistance to the people of Gaza.
