Kastoria Greek Army liberates

On this day in 1912, the town of Kastoria in Macedonia was liberated by the Greek Army.

Today is also the Feast Day of Agios Minas, the City's Patron Saint.

The town today is known for its many Byzantine churches, Byzantine and Ottoman-era domestic architecture, lake, and fur clothing industry.
