From Crete to Italy and then to Spain, the esteemed Greek painter seeks, beyond mere forms, the divine breath concealed in every existence, yearning to reunite with the Creator. For El Greco, the tragedy of humanity tethered to the earth, while the soul aspires to soar, becomes the driving force propelling him toward heaven. However, victory comes only after overcoming the obstacles of wealth, glory, and power—a triumphant journey through three passions, three steps before eternity.

As depicted in his book "REFERENCE TO GREKO," Nikos Kazantzakis, Greco's admirer and spiritual heir bridges the past with the present, urging the audience to envision a future steeped in elegance, universal values, and levity.

Giorgos Hatzinassios

The stage envelops the audience in the rare melodies of Giorgos Hatzinassios, featuring a technological showcase of the great painter's classic works. Behind the unfolding events, GREKO emerges as the global Cretan, bringing the ethos and culture of Cretan Romanism to Europe. The presentation of Giorgos Hatzinassios' work transcends its fifty-year history, becoming a cultural heritage legacy.
