A defenceless elderly woman was mercilessly beaten by her 55-year-old son, who started kicking her all over her body in Karaiskakis village in Arta!
The screams of pain of the helpless 98-year-old woman were noticed by the neighbours, who called the police, and officers from the local department arrived at the house and handcuffed the 55-year-old, who had allegedly been abusive previously.
The timely intervention saved the unfortunate older woman from the worst; she was not seriously injured and did not need to be hospitalised.
The son was taken to the prosecutor of Arta, accused of domestic violence, and referred to be tried today.
