"Disconnect Me" continues festival run with US premiere at Santa Barbara film festival

DISCONNECT ME, the recent screen offering from playwright and filmmaker Alex Lycos (Alex & Eve, Me & My Left Brain) will have its US premiere at the Academy accredited Santa Barbara Film Festival after a successful Australian premiere at Cinefest Oz film festival which was followed by a full-house screening at Sydney's iconic Enmore Theatre.

Since then,  Disconnect Me has screened at 27 cinemas across Australia whilst also attracting much media attention due to its topical and relevant social commentary.

Disconnect Me has been screened at schools throughout the country since November last year and will continue till March 2024, with filmmaker Alex Lycos in attendance for the respective Q & A sessions. Disconnect Me is represented by Kaleidoscope Films.

This year the Santa Barbara Film Festival will award notable actors including Bradley Cooper with the Outstanding Performer of the Year Award, Robert Downey Jr. with the Maltin Modern Master Award and Mark Ruffalo with the American Riviera Award.

Opening Night kicks off Wednesday, February 7 with the World Premiere of the Disney Branded Television documentary MADU directed by Matt Ogens and Joel ‘Kachi Benson. Both directors will be joining us in-person.

The festival will close on Saturday, February 17 with the World Premiere of CHOSEN FAMILY directed by Heather Graham and starring Heather Graham, Julia Stiles, Thomas Lennon, and Michael Gross. Director and cast will be joining us in-person.
