Weapons, improvised bombs and ammunition were found in the house of Andrew and Angelos Hatziagelis

In the arrest of 39-year-old and 51-year-old brothers from Astoria in New York, Andrew and Angelos Hatziagelis, authorities uncovered a plan to murder police officers, politicians, judges, celebrities and bankers. At the same time, improvised explosive devices and weapons were found in their homes.

The two brothers, whom the New York Post describes as "wannabe anarchists," face 130 charges.

The pair also allegedly scribbled “hit list” on a scrap of notebook paper that included a list of potential targets that also listed “corporate scum.”

“Wipe out the scum,” the disturbing note said. “Wipe out the earth,” with the lines marked as “chorus – hit list.

“Human sacrifices,” a written rant on a separate page said. “Permitable but only for the corrupt rapists, pedophiles, murderers, politicians, judges.”

The busts came after a joint operation with the Queens District Attorney’s Office, the NYPD and the US Department of Homeland Security.

“The city is safer today,” Queens DA Melinda Katz said in a statement on Monday. “We cannot measure the number of lives that were saved but we do know that these weapons will never hurt anyone.”

As announced, in the apartment where the two brothers lived, eight improvised explosive devices, two loaded AR-15 carbines and two 9mm semi-automatic handguns were found, as well as 600 bullets and three bulletproof vests.

A 3D printer for making weapon parts that cannot be detected were also found.

The two brothers are due in court on February 15 and face up to 25 years in prison each if convicted.
