Greece's Olympic Delegation Secures Portable Air Conditioners for Paris Games Amidst AC Installation Controversy

In order to ensure optimal conditions for their athletes, Greece's Olympic delegation has made arrangements for portable air conditioners at the 33rd Games in Paris.

The decision not to install ACs in the athletes' rooms for environmental reasons prompted the Hellenic Olympic Committee to take action. President Spyros Capralos stated that they would either purchase the air conditioners themselves or seek sponsorship to meet the needs of the delegation.

Capralos emphasized that no expense would be spared to provide the best conditions for their athletes. Meanwhile, Paris Mayor Anne Hidalgo had previously encouraged athletes to embrace the "advantages" of "natural air conditioning," expressing her concern for the preservation of humanity over athlete comfort.
