Taxis in Athens will strike on February 27-28, the Attica Taxi Drivers' Union (SATΑ) decided in an extraordinary meeting of its administrative council on Wednesday.

The taxi drivers described the government's economic model "a cause of war", claiming it has targeted every form of individual entrepreneurship in Greece.

During the strike, SATA will hold a general assembly of the sector at the Peristeri Exhibition Center (Feb. 28) to align their founding charter with what is stipulated by current legislation.

Additionally, taxi drivers have scheduled a protest rally and march towards the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport, with SATA calling on all taxi drivers from across Greece to join in the mobilisation.
