The training, coordinated by the Hellenic National Defence General Staff, brought together members of the 26th US Marine Unit and special operations forces from Greece and the United States. This collaborative effort, organized under the Special Warfare Command (SOC) of the Hellenic National Defence General Staff (HNDGS), signifies the ongoing military cooperation between the two nations and successfully concluded today.

The HNDGS deployed its personnel and assets, while the 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit represented the American side. This co-training, a continuation of a previous session held last month, focused on mountain combat and survival techniques in snowy conditions (Cold Weather Training and Tactics). By enhancing combat capabilities and strengthening interoperability between the Greek and American Armed Forces, this joint endeavor reinforces the robust and long-standing partnership between Greece and the United States in the field of Special Operations.

The Joint Chiefs of Defence emphasized that this activity serves as a practical demonstration of the exceptional military relationship between the two countries, contributing significantly to the promotion of security and stability in the wider region.
