Tsitsipas and Badosa: Dynamic Duo Set to Shine at Eisenhower Cup

Tie Break Tens exhibition Tsitsipas Badosa

The tennis world's luminaries, including Iga Swiatek, Holger Rune, Ben Shelton, Paula Badosa, and Stefanos Tsitsipas, among others, will dazzle spectators at the Tie Break Tens exhibition event preceding the Indian Wells Open on March 5, 2024.

This one-night-only mixed doubles extravaganza, officially named the Eisenhower Cup, will showcase a stellar lineup of players from both tours. Competitors will engage in the Tie Break Tens format, where a single break determines the outcome. The first team to reach 10 points, leading by a margin of at least two points, secures victory.

Eight teams will vie for a $200,000 prize, with proceeds benefiting local charitable organizations. Following last year's inaugural event, this marks the second iteration of the Eisenhower Cup in a mixed doubles format.

Last year's champions, Aryna Sabalenka and Taylor Fritz reunite to defend their title. In the final, they bested the Polish tandem of Swiatek and Hubert Hurkacz, who return for another shot this year.

Former World No. 1 Caroline Wozniacki teams up with compatriot Rune, while reigning Indian Wells Open champion Elena Rybakina partners with World No. 5 Andrey Rublev.

Americans Tommy Paul and Jessica Pegula unite their talents alongside Emma Navarro and Shelton. Lovebirds Tsitsipas and Badosa team up, while Frances Tiafoe pairs with Zheng Qinwen.

The Eisenhower Cup sets the stage for the Indian Wells Open. Originally a women's singles event in 2022 commemorating International Women's Day, it has evolved into an anticipated mixed doubles spectacle.

As anticipation mounts, the Eisenhower Cup offers a tantalizing preview of the excitement awaiting at the Indian Wells Open.

Stef and Paula will play the exhibition match at Tie Break Tens in Indian Wells on Tuesday, 5 March 2024, around 7:30 PM PST local time, 10:30 PM EST New York Wednesday, 6 March 12:30 AM ART Buenos Aires 3:30 AM GMT London 4:30 AM CET Paris 5:30 AM EET Greece 12:30 PM JST Tokyo 2:30 in PM AEDT Melbourne
