Storm Monica - Four Dead in France, Three Missing in Spain

Storm Monica has lashed parts of Europe with heavy rain and strong winds, leaving a trail of devastation in its wake.

Flooding in southeastern France has claimed the lives of four people, with the discovery of a man's body near Nîmes, bringing the death toll to four.

Three people remain missing, including a father and his two children, aged 4 and 13. Their car was swept away by a swollen river while they were attempting to cross a bridge.

Search efforts continue for three people missing in Spain after being swept away by waves.

Two of the missing people are minors who drifted away from shore while fishing in Gran Canaria on Friday.

The third person went missing on Saturday while swimming on a Barcelona beach. Authorities had issued warnings of dangerous conditions due to Storm Monica, with waves reaching up to 2.5m high.
