Greek government proceeds with fourth minimum wage increase

The Greek government's decision to proceed with its fourth consecutive minimum wage increase was noted by Minister of Labor and Social Security Domna Michailidou during a media interview on radio station "Parapolitika 90.1".

Michailidou emphasized that since 2019 the minimum wage has increased by 20%. She noted that social partners have submitted their proposals and are being processed in order to submit the proposal to the cabinet while assuring that the specific details regarding the minimum wage will be clarified.

Responding to a question about retroactive payments to retirees particularly those with additional insurance the Minister of Labor stated that by the end of March several retirees will see more retroactive payments in their accounts.
