Olympiacos Surpasses PAOK in World Club Rankings

In a recent announcement by the International Federation of Football History and Statistics (IFFHS) headquartered in Zurich, Olympiacos has made significant strides in the global club rankings, surpassing PAOK to claim the top spot among Greek teams. This remarkable achievement comes on the heels of Olympiacos' impressive journey to the final of the Europa Conference League.

According to the latest rankings spanning from May 1, 2023, to April 30, 2024, Olympiacos has leaped an impressive 13 places, ascending from 67th to 54th place worldwide. Surpassing PAOK, which now sits at 56th place globally, Olympiacos has solidified its position as the leading Greek club in the international football arena.

Notably, both Olympiacos and PAOK outrank renowned clubs such as Lille, Villarreal, Juventus, Napoli, Manchester United, Sevilla, and Newcastle, showcasing the growing prominence of Greek football on the global stage.

Further down the rankings, Panathinaikos holds the 116th position, followed closely by AEK at 119th place, while Aris secures the 205th spot.

At the summit of the global rankings, Manchester City reigns supreme with 416 points, followed by Real Madrid, Bayer Leverkusen, Inter, and Bayern Munich. The top 10 positions are as follows:

1. Manchester City (England) - 416 points
2. Real Madrid (Spain) - 324 points
3. Bayer Leverkusen (Germany) - 305 points
4. Inter (Italy) - 295 points
5. Bayern Munich (Germany) - 264 points
6. Roma (Italy) - 263.5 points
7. Palmeiras (Brazil) - 254 points
8. Atletico Madrid (Spain) - 250 points
9. Atalanta (Italy) - 248 points
10. Barcelona (Spain) - 244 points
