One Dead and 30 Injured After Severe Turbulence Hits London to Singapore Flight

Tragedy struck aboard a flight from London to Singapore as severe turbulence claimed the life of one passenger and left 30 others injured.

The incident occurred when the aircraft entered turbulent airspace during its journey from London to Singapore. Singapore Airlines confirmed the fatality but did not provide detailed information on the number of injuries. However, Thai media sources reported that approximately 30 individuals sustained injuries.

The flight, operated by a Boeing 777-300ER and carrying 211 passengers and 18 crew members, was forced to make an emergency landing at 15:45 local time (11:00 GMT) following the turbulence.

Upon landing in Bangkok, Thailand, a medical team was promptly deployed to provide assistance to those affected. Singapore Airlines emphasised their commitment to supporting all passengers and crew members and stated that they were collaborating with local authorities to ensure the necessary medical care was provided.

Expressing condolences to the family of the deceased, Singapore Airlines reiterated their dedication to the well-being of all individuals involved in the incident.
