The incident occurred when the aircraft entered turbulent airspace during its journey from London to Singapore. The flight, operated by a Boeing 777-300ER and carrying 211 passengers and 18 crew members, was forced to make an emergency landing at 15:45 local time (11:00 GMT) following the turbulence.
Upon landing in Bangkok, Thailand, a medical team was promptly deployed to provide assistance to those affected. Singapore Airlines emphasised their commitment to supporting all passengers and crew members and stated that they were collaborating with local authorities to ensure the necessary medical care was provided.
