Mitsotakis calls for defence of freedom and democracy at D-Day commemoration

On the 80th anniversary of the Allied landing in Normandy, Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis was present at the brilliant commemoration, which were attended by dozens of leaders from around the world.

"On the 80th anniversary of D-Day, we pay tribute to the heroes who fought against the forces of fascism in the greatest naval, air and land operation in history. We honor their sacrifice," Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis said in an English post on X on the anniversary of the Normandy landings, and added: "They fought for freedom and democracy, and it is our duty to continue to defend these values."
