Major Rescue Operation Conducted to Save 70-Year-Old British Man in Vikos Gorge

On Friday afternoon, an extensive rescue operation was conducted to save a 70-year-old British man in the Vikos Gorge. The Ioannina fire department, along with the Special Disaster Response Unit and the Special Mountain Rescue Unit, were dispatched to the location. They successfully rescued the man, who reportedly suffered a heart attack.

The Fire Department issued a statement indicating that a helicopter from Elefsina is en route to airlift the man to the hospital.
