The municipal police of Thessaloniki are set to modernize their operations with the introduction of electronic ticketing. This new system aims to streamline the process of issuing tickets to motorists and reduce administrative burdens.
Mayor Stelios Angeloudis announced that the tickets will be generated electronically and printed mechanically. An online connection to the central information system will ensure efficient data management.
The move away from handwritten tickets is expected to significantly reduce the time and resources spent on administrative tasks. Additionally, it will help to improve the accuracy and efficiency of the ticketing process.
In related news, the city is also making progress on other initiatives. The project to build a crematorium is currently under review by the Council of State, and the signing of the Presidential Decree is anticipated.
Furthermore, a contractor has been selected to develop five new dog parks in the city. The construction of these parks is expected to be completed within six months. To address the issue of stray animals, the city will be hiring a second collector.
