Giannis Antetokounmpo is now a married man following a three-day wedding celebration.
On Sunday morning, Giannis Antetokounmpo and Mariah Riddlesprigger exchanged vows, becoming husband and wife, with longtime friend and Milwaukee Bucks teammate Khris Middleton standing by Giannis’s side as the best man.
The ceremony took place at the Costa Navarino resort, near Pylos in Greece. It was a unique event, reflecting the couple’s diverse backgrounds, as Giannis is an Orthodox Christian and Mariah is Catholic.
Giannis Antetokounmpo’s extraordinary life story is full of remarkable moments, and his wedding was no exception. The festivities spanned three days, beginning with a “White Party” on Friday where guests dressed in white. This was followed by a “Nigerian Night” on Saturday, leading up to the wedding banquet on Sunday night.
The guest list included notable figures like Olympic gold medalists LeBron James and Jrue Holiday, along with several Bucks teammates, the team’s owners, and tennis legend Serena Williams.
Among other distinguished attendees were the Greek national team coach and EuroLeague legend Vassilis Spanoulis, and Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis.
Honoring Giannis Antetokounmpo’s request, the wedding remained a private affair with no press allowed at the resort, despite it being a major news topic in Greece over the past three days.
Giannis and Mariah have been in a long-term relationship and are parents to three children.
