A 4.6 magnitude earthquake occurred at noon on Sunday in Mount Athos.
According to the Geodynamic Institute’s automated solution, the epicenter of the earthquake was located 8 km northwest of Karyes, Mount Athos, at a focal depth of 12.8 km.

The earthquake was preceded by tremors of lesser intensity that disturbed residents in the surrounding areas.
Notably, another earthquake with a magnitude of 4.1 had occurred near Ouranoupoli.
