PARIS, France – Citing escalating conflict between Israel and Hezbollah, the European Union has advised airlines to steer clear of both Lebanese and Israeli airspace until at least October 31st.
This recommendation, jointly issued by the European Commission and the European Union Aviation Safety Agency, comes in response to "an overall intensification of airstrikes and degradation in the security situation." The agencies strongly advise against any flight operations "within the airspaces of Lebanon and Israel at all flight levels" for the next month.
