RIYADH: Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman hosted Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis at the winter camp in AlUla on Monday, as reported by the Saudi Press Agency.
The two leaders engaged in discussions on enhancing bilateral relations and exploring opportunities for cooperation across various sectors. They also exchanged views on key regional and international developments and the efforts being made to address them.
During their meeting, Prince Mohammed and Mitsotakis co-chaired the Saudi-Greek Strategic Partnership Council, where they reviewed several important topics.
Earlier that day, Mitsotakis visited the historic Hegra region in AlUla.
The Hegra Archaeological Site, Saudi Arabia’s first World Heritage property, is the largest preserved site of the Nabataean civilization south of Petra in Jordan. It boasts well-preserved monumental tombs with intricate facades, dating from the 1st century BC to the 1st century AD.
Mitsotakis toured notable sites, including Qasr Al-Farid, a tomb dating to the 1st century CE, and Qasr Al-Bint, the most famous necropolis in Hegra. He also visited Mount Athlab, one of AlUla’s prominent attractions.
