Princess Tatiana of Greece is thanking her mother for her unwavering support the past year, just days before her ex-husband, Prince Nikolaos, is set to remarry.
Tatiana, 44, has relocated to the southern suburbs of Athens less than a year after her split from Nikolaos, 55. In a heartfelt Instagram Stories post, Tatiana shared a photo of herself hugging her mother, Marie and expressed her appreciation for helping her move in less than 48 hours.
“Thank you to the most amazing mamasita for helping me move in less than 48 hours,” she wrote. “U R unreal! Finishing with my favorite: filling the kitchen with local produce from the Friday Manaviko – pure happiness and love. Te adoro! Gracias.”
Prince Nikolaos is set to wed Chrysi Vardinogianni in a private ceremony on Friday, February 7, just months after announcing his divorce from Tatiana on April 19, 2024. The couple had been married for 14 years, with the royal family’s office stating that their decision to separate was made amicably, with mutual respect and care. They also confirmed that they would continue their lives in Greece, where they both reside.
Nikolaos and Tatiana, who married in August 2010, had no children and pursued independent careers after the Greek monarchy lost its official recognition. Nikolaos worked in photography, while Tatiana focused on social impact.
Reflecting on her journey, Tatiana shared in an Instagram post on January 6 that 2024 had been a transformative year for her. “Last year was a year of transformation for me, filled with changes that challenged me to grow, to learn, and to rebuild a life that truly reflects who I am,” she wrote. “By embracing my true self, I uncovered a new strength.” She also expressed gratitude for those who supported her through uncertain times.
