During his first cabinet meeting on Wednesday, President Donald Trump revealed that the United States would implement a general tariff of 25% on products from the European Union.
He also indicated that new tariffs on Canada and Mexico are expected to go into effect in early April.
Regarding the EU tariffs, Trump stated, “We’ll be announcing it very soon, and it’ll be 25 percent, generally speaking, which will apply to cars and various other items.”
