According to Tovima, Greece is set to launch a new government-run online platform that allows residents to rate and provide feedback on a wide array of public services. The initiative aims to foster accountability and continuous improvement within the public administration.
Interior Minister Thodoris Livanios announced that the platform will go live as early as next week, enabling users to evaluate both central and local government services.
Citizens will be able to assign ratings on a scale from 1 to 10 and provide comments in two open sections: one for general feedback and another for specific service requests.
The scope of services available for evaluation includes major government bodies such as EFKA (social security), DYPA (employment services), AADE (tax authority), the digital services of gov.gr, and public amenities like playgrounds, green spaces, and cleanliness.
The platform is expected to be accessible to approximately 5 million citizens registered in the National Communication Registry. Each evaluation round will consist of 40 to 50 questions, with data collected being made publicly accessible. Public service departments will receive their evaluation scores and feedback directly, promoting a system of accountability and continuous improvement.
Minister Livanios emphasized that evaluations will occur twice a year: once in April-May and again in October-November. He described the platform as a step towards empowering citizens to have a direct impact on the quality of services that affect their daily lives.
This move aligns with Greece's broader strategy to modernise public administration and enhance the efficiency and responsiveness of government services.
