Ange Postecoglou, currently vacationing in Greece, has spoken out with a resolute message of ambition and determination as rumors about his future with Tottenham Hotspur intensify.

The 59-year-old Australian manager, who guided Spurs to their first trophy in 17 years by clinching the UEFA Europa League against Manchester United last month, addressed ongoing speculation about his position. Despite the triumph, reports suggest Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy is considering a managerial change, with the club reportedly in talks with Brentford’s Thomas Frank.

Speaking to ABC’s Australian Story while with family, Postecoglou emphasized that the Europa League win should be a springboard, not a pinnacle, for Spurs. “I didn’t want us just to enjoy the moment,” he said. “I wanted us to think about what’s next. Don’t settle. My players and the club have tasted success—let’s ensure we’re back here again.”

With two years left on his contract, Postecoglou admitted before his break that his future for the 2025–26 season remains uncertain. Tottenham’s 17th-place finish in the Premier League—their lowest since 1977—has fueled doubts despite the European success. Meanwhile, Foot Mercato reports that Levy has held discussions with Frank, who has impressed at Brentford with a 35.53% Premier League win rate, slightly below Postecoglou’s 40.79%, but with fewer resources.

Postecoglou remains steadfast, reflecting on his journey. “Ten years ago, during my first Australian Story interview, some thought that was my peak,” he said. “I’m certain in a decade, we’ll have more stories to share.” He reiterated his confidence at Spurs’ trophy parade, telling fans, “In the best TV series, season three tops season two,” hinting at his desire to stay and build on his project.

As speculation swirls, Postecoglou’s focus on resilience and future success underscores his commitment to Tottenham, even as Levy weighs options like Frank, who has outlined a vision and transfer targets for the role.
