Olympiacos Clinches Greek Basketball League Title with 85-71 Victory Over Panathinaikos

PIRAEUS, Greece – Olympiacos was crowned champion of the Greek Basketball League for the 2024-25 season, decisively defeating Panathinaikos 85-71 in Game 4 of the finals at a packed Peace and Friendship Stadium (SEF). The victory sealed a 3-1 series win, securing the team’s 15th championship title in their storied history (1949, 1960, 1976, 1978, 1993, 1994, 1995, 1996, 1997, 2012, 2015, 2016, 2022, 2023, 2025).

Following their breakthrough win at OAKA, the “red-and-whites” dominated the court, leaving no room for a Panathinaikos comeback. The game progressed through tightly contested quarters, with scores of 19-15, 42-38, 64-52, and a final 85-71.

Olympiacos won the 15th championship in its history , defeating Panathinaikos AKTOR 3-1 in the Stoiximan GBL finals series and at the same time reached 34 titles in the men's basketball division and a total of 331 in team sports.
