Former Tottenham boss Ange Postecoglou could soon return to management, with Major League Soccer’s Los Angeles FC considering him as a replacement for outgoing manager Steve Cherundolo.
Spurs sacked Postecoglou despite guiding them to a Europa League triumph over Manchester United. However, Tottenham’s dismal 17th-place finish in the Premier League led to his departure, with Brentford’s Thomas Frank appointed as his successor.
According to the BBC, LAFC is interested in Postecoglou to replace Cherundolo, who will leave at the end of the MLS season. The American club, which recently competed in the Club World Cup—drawing with Flamengo but falling to Chelsea and ES Tunis—sits in a playoff spot, with the MLS season wrapping up in October.
LAFC would likely approach Postecoglou following any postseason campaign. Additionally, the Australian has been linked with Saudi Pro League side Al-Ahli since leaving Tottenham.
